my new MacBook Air says I have a weak wi fi and won't let me connect to my printer wirelessly. my network configuration page says I have 100% signal strength wpa2-psk. apple support says it must be my wi fi is wpa but that's not the case. suggested I bring the lap top back and get a new one but I don't think that will help. other people also have this problem ,lots of people.

Without knowing model of your printer and wifi router hard to know.

Worth connecting printer via ethernet cable to router, then print via wifi->router->printer

On laptop, when you go to System Settings/Printers&Scanners can you actually see or set-up your printer?

Has your printer actually properly joined your wifi network?
