My iPad’s volume is as low as it can go without being off completely and it is pretty loud. I have the Reduce Loud Sounds set as low as it will go, and it’s on the current update. I’ve rebooted it and it’s still pretty loud. Is this just a thing with the Airs? Or did I get a bad one?

You can change the volume on iPad using the Settings > Sound or with the buttons on the side. If the volume appears to be too loud, you can have the iPad inspected with Apple or a service location.

You can also use Siri to turn the volume up or down.

Lock the ringer and alert volumes
Go to Settings 
> Sounds, then turn off Change with Buttons.
