I want to convert .mov files to .mp4 files using a macbook pro 2020, M1, using OS 13.2.1.

Can anyone suggest some reliable and safe apps? The Apple Store seemed to have dated information and apps.

I have about 50 videos, some of which have very high resolution, but most are from a 6S 2nd gen iPhone. Most of the videos are usually not over 1-2 minutes. I want to send the videos as .mp4 files to someone who uses a Windows (I assume 10 or 11, but it seems that neither will open .mov without more software installations. My friend will not be able to find and install apps to watch .mov files. I can't travel there to help. I want to just do all the converting for them and send the videos as .mp4 on a flash drive. My friend would get confused and give up if I tried to share from a cloud.
