Scanned some photos using Sharper Image’s Rapid Photo Scanner.

Scanned some photos using Sharper Image’s Rapid Photo Scanner. It saves to a memory card. I place this card into a MacBook Air running Big Sur. Exported the photos into Photos 6.0 edited them. The photo library is in Drobo external drive.

Now while attempting to export them out of Photos to a folder on the desktop I get Error 4. And it will not export the photos.

This may not be relevant but the Memory card is formatted MS-DOS Fat32.

Apple says: "You can't store your library on a storage device used for Time Machine backups." Time machine is very territorial, and it will not let other apps occupy the same drive. A drive that has had TM on it must be reformatted before using it for anything else. It may even damage the Library.

Okay, but only photos scanned by the Sharper Image scanner are effected. There is no Sharper Image app. It went from the scanner to the memory card to Photos. And the addition of the Time Machine happened after the photos were added to the library. The Drobo is (forgive me if I get the name wrong.) segmented so that the time machine is separate from the rest of what is on it.
