Removal of activation lock

My cousin used my Xfinity account to buy my uncle a iPhone SE Red. Long story short my uncle stopped paying on it and I had to pay for the device myself and he gave me the phone back. The problem lies within the fact my uncle nor my cousin whom set up the iPhone for my uncle know neither the password nor the recovery phone number for the iCloud account. I’ve tried to get a sales receipt from Xfinity but apparently they do not give receipts on devices anymore only an email with estimated monthly fees and future device payments. I’ve tried to go thru Apple but they won’t accept Xfinity screenshots I took of both my account info and the so called purchase email. Both of which have the iPhones IMEI and account numbers and my name on them. Any possible suggestions on getting apples security team to override activation lock? I would like to try and sell it and get some of my money back. I already have a 12 pro max and don’t need this iPhone.

Sadly no, Xfinity is all paperless, when my cousin bought the phone on my Xfinity account they just emailed me this, no physical copies what so ever. Only pdf I Can get my hands on would be the payment agreement stating the purchase amount being divided by 24 months for a total of 16.66 a month. The thing I don’t get is why Apple won’t accept that as a receipt since it has my account number and the phone IMEI on it. And I sent them a screenshot of my account main page with my name bold and my account number directly underneath clearly showing the iPhone being mine. Just the iCloud that was made was for my uncle and not me. But as far as ownership all the screenshots should’ve proved the device is mine

I know the iCloud email my cousin set up for the iPhone initially but I can’t reset the password without knowing the recovery phone number used on set up. I’ve gone thru all my uncle’s contacts on the iPhone but no numbers match the last two digits shown on the recovery number.

Ah, got it. Unfortunately if you cannot access the phones settings to see that info he just needs to keep asking friends, family, carriers, looking thru his emails, so on to find it.

As for Apple removing it from their end, have you tried submitting/can you get a physical/paper statement from Xfinity rather than screenshots?
