Check if it is a temporary glitch, by using these gestures:
Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side (power) button. Only when the Apple logo appears (it might take 10-20 seconds), release that button (ignore all other screens that might appear, the one with the "slider" to turn the device off included).
If the issue persists, it could be a hardware (screen? other internal component?) failure but we, just users like you, cannot diagnose that issue remotely, sorry.
I suggest that you make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> Apple – Location Selector. After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.

Giulio

Yes! The same thing happened to my phone this morning, Its only 14 months old and apple said I have to replace the screen for more than $400 which is ridiculous given the fact that there have been so many cases of green screens recently. I hope Apple do the right thing and look into this.

I do have the same case. and apple service center recommendation is to replace the screen and billed under customer. I think Apple should look on to this, it might be a hardware bug

I tried all these, I gave the phone to Apple care service.., They charged be Rs. 1750 for the diagnosis and came back the next day and told that it is a hardware issue. But dint give me a proper solution why this happend. Instead asked me to change the display for Rs31500.
How Apple can help?
Since it is out of warranty even the Apple support centre doesnt help and join hands with the service centre and foll us on this.
Atlast i have to spend a Rs 31500 to restore my iphone or just throw it in the garbage.
My Phone is only 1.5 years old.
Apple was a trusted brand once.
No Tara, Apple will not do the right thing on this.., Apple Support and Apple Service centre join hands to fool the customers and mint money on this. Even I had the issue and they asked me to replace the display for INR 31500 in India. What a Scam . My phone is just 15 months old.
<8-10mths iPhone 13 pro screen turned green.
Unable to shutdown and no apple LOGO after force shutdown following the troubleshooting suggestion.
Have arranged for an off site, finger crossed.
Wow less than a year. Hope Apple support team will escalate this concern. For me I paid the screen replacement for this. Not good.
Did you try calling apple support and asking for an exception? Since the green screen was caused by them and not the user. That’s what worked for me with my phone being out of warranty, you just have to be persistent and explain the situation well. Also had it checked and a diagnostic report was given at the istore stating that there’s no physical or water damage to my phone, then I was granted a one time LCD replacement free of charge. Only had to pay for the diagnostic
My iphone green screen issue please help me
Yes I did call Apple support. They perform remote support but didn’t help. My unit is >1 year so its out of coverage.
If your device is still within support coverage, please contact apple support. For us who’ve using the unit for >1 year, was asked to replace the lcd charge to customer.
It seems more and more iphone 13 users are experiencing this issue. Apple community moderator, please hear us
I had the same issue with my iPhone 13 max pro. Then I tried in many ways and finally needed to replace the display with another one with 41000/- BDT. That's one-third of the brand new whole 13 pro max pricing! Apple should take action on this now due to its reputation.
i got same problem with my 13pro max it just suddenly faces green screen of death issue. Couldn’t repair it for free since my phone was almost 14 months old. And this green screen is very common with 13 series but Apple didn’t give official statement about this faulty units! Very disappointed!!!
Faced the Same issue , Apple does not acknowledge it as a product bug even though I saw multiple people with same problem when I was at the Apple genius bar .. paid for the replaced screen.. my phone was 1.5 years old and I realise from all the comments that most of them had problem after 1.4 -1.5 yrs !!!
it’s most likely a bad batch issue so surprising how they won’t acknowledge it.. new screen warranty is only 90 days and they couldn’t commit that this same issue won’t come in the new screen after 90 days.
