How to update an unsupported browser on my iPhone 6s

I’m trying to login to my premium bond account but told I am using an unsupported browser and to update Google chrome or safari. I’ve tried to update Google chrome and safari but still not working. I’m 81 and not tech savvy. What do I do?

An iPhone 6s can update to iOS 15.7.3 but no further. Safari is updated with the iOS version installed.

Go to Settings ➜ General ➜ Software Update and see if there's an update available.

For Chrome, any updates would be obtained through the App Store App. The current version of Chrome can be downloaded on iOS 15.7.3.

If you actually have an iPhone 6 (no s), then it cannot update past iOS 12.5.7. It's the last version it supports. Safari on that version is now outdated, and Chrome will not download to that iOS version anymore.

Hello,

We'll need some details before we can help you.

What macOS version are you using?

On what Mac model / year?

You can find both pieces of information in the Apple Menu ➜ About This Mac section.

You posted this in the Windows Software Forum, how exactly is Microsoft Windows involved in this?

What Browser exactly is marked as unsupported then?

What happens when you try to update Google Chrome?

What version of Chrome are you currently running? You can get the version from the Chrome Menu ➜ About Chrome option.

What version of Safari are you running? You can get the version from the Safari Menu ➜ About Safari option.
