Liquid detected in charging port pops up all the time without liquid present

When you say that you replaced the screen, do you mean you took it to Apple or an Authorize Apple Service Provider and had it repaired? Or did you have it done by someplace not authorized? Or did you do it yourself?

I’ve tried several different chargers and still get the pop up. The real mind boggler is that when my mother tried to charge her phone with my charger, she also got the message. The only liquid exposure these things have had had been sweat and a little bit of a drizzle on the screen. How do I fix this?

Frankly, it sounds like a bad cable. Try a different one.

You might also try cleaning out the charging ports on the phones. Under a bright light and a magnifier if you have one, use a non-conductive tool such as a toothpick to remove any lint or other debris that might have gotten lodged in the port. Things can get very well jammed in the back.
