Voicemail notification won’t go away (still)

Hi. My voicemail notification will not go away after I have listened to

the message. There are no messages left in there. Please can somebody

help as I keep thinking I’ve got a new message every time I look at the

phone! I've tried a) restarting the phone, 2) Settings > Notifications > scroll down and tap Phone, turn off Badges and wait about a minute and then turn it back on 3) Settings > Notifications > scroll down and tap Phone, turn off Allow Notifications. Wait about a minute and then turn it back on. 4) Same as 3 but restart phone before allowing Notifications. None fixes this.

You completed some great steps trying to resolve this. If you haven't already, complete these steps too:

Make sure your iPhone is fully updated as updates help by installing bug fixes and security updates too. If an update is needed, back up first. This guide has both steps: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
After updating, install carrier updates, if available. To check, tap Settings > General > About. If one is available it will pop-up here for permission to install. Here's more on carrier updates: Manually update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
If you use a VPN or security software, those can block connections. Here's more details: Check VPN (Virtual Private Network) and third-party software to help resolve network connectivity issues - Apple Support
Reset network settings to see if fresh connections help. This resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before. Be sure you have your passwords handy before resetting. When you're ready, tap Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
