Thanks for reaching out achillesthegreatest,

It sounds like you have some questions about how long your battery is expected to last. We can help.

So, your iPhone battery is expected to last at least 500 charging cycles before the health drops down to 80%. Once it drops below 80%, you'll need to replace the battery.

A charge cycle is either a single charge from 0%-100%, or multiple smaller charges that add up to 100% in total. Other factors like the environment you use the device in, and if the battery is left depleted for extended periods can also impact the longevity of the battery. Either way, all batteries will need to be replaced eventually.

You can check out these articles for some suggestions and tips to get the most out of your battery:

To answer your question, it doesn't seem like your iPhone battery is behaving unusually, but you know your experience with it better than anyone. If you feel like the percentage is dropping faster than it should, you can always Contact Apple for support and service to check it out.

Hope that helps.

Take care.

On average, the Battery Health / Maximum Capacity will drop about 1% per month. That is an average. Some months, it might not drop at all and the next month it might drop 2%.

Everything about your battery is normal.

After about a year, the battery will be at 88-90%. After two years, the battery will be down to about 80% and will need to be replaced at that time.
