To get to the numbers, tap the keyboard icon at the bottom of the Phone app screen (second from the right).

You need a SIM card.

If you still have a SIM card from your current phone, you can use it.

If not, look for / visit a carrier, take a subscription, postpaid or prepaid card.

Check whether the SIM card is suitable for your iPhone.

Hopefully you have an carrier unlocked iPhone.

Sign in to your Apple ID account page and edit / update your Apple ID details -> https://appleid.apple.com
