Pulse Secure Firewall Removal

I've followed every "How-To Remove Pulse Secure Tutorial" on the Internet and still have

net.pulsesecure.firewall.systemextension (4.0/4PulseSecureFirewallSysExt [activated enabled]

running in

com.apple.system_extension.network_extension

after running terminal command

systemextensionsctl list

Deactivating a Network Extension | Apple Developer Forums

Disabling and Enabling System Integrity Protection | Apple Developer Documentation

Are the above links headed in the right direction for removal?

Those are low-level instructions requiring disabling of system security and running command line operations. It is possible to do these commands successfully and remove the orphan system extension. But it is more likely to simply brick the machine. This is why, for this particular problem, we are more likely to recommend erasing the hard drive and reinstalling the operating system. Chances are, you are going to wind up doing that anyway.
