Magic mouse 3 does not connect to M3 mini

Magic mouse 3 does not connect to M2 mini. It connects as a vers1.9 instead

Mac mini (2023 with M2)

That should read "connect to M2 Mini" ... also when I click on most items where there is a choice .. the courser runs back to the left
