Hello jakeejacobs,

To start, you'll want to add more specific detail to your post. What is "the pedometer"? Is this some sort of 3rd party device you have connected to the watch? Is this an application you have installed on the watch? Are you just trying to use the built in activity tracking to view your steps?

If you're trying to use the built in features, you can set up the Activity application for tracking with these steps:

1. Open the Activity app on your Apple Watch.
2. Swipe left to read the Move, Exercise, and Stand descriptions, then tap Get Started.
3. Use the Digital Crown to set your sex, age, height, weight, and whether you use a wheelchair.
4. Choose an activity level and start moving.

Track daily activity with Apple Watch

You can also calibrate the watch for better accuracy: Calibrate your Apple Watch for improved Workout and Activity accuracy

To view the activity data, including steps and distance, open the Activity application, then scroll down the page.

Cheers!
