Macbook Pro 13" M1 - What defines supported channel on macbook ?

Hi,

I am curious on what makes apple device have limited supported Wi-Fi channel like mine, is it a hardware limitation or software limitation? This will be my reference on where to buy macbook (since there's no official Apple Store in my country, only authorized distributor).

In my country (regulations), 5GHz channel like 32, 36, 40, 44 are allowed. We also allow 52, 56, 60, 64, 100, 104, 108, 112, 136, 140, 144. And here's my macbook supported channel.

So when my router using auto channel, and got channel 36, my Apple device (Macbook, iPhone, homePod, Apple Watch, etc) cannot even lookup the Wi-Fi SSID.

Yes, you can see that it currently use channel 153, but i cannot control other wifi like office wifi to use that channel (generally speaking we set router to use auto mode)

Umm nevertheless, i have several apple device, some of it are from local authorized distributor, still cannot search SSID that use channel 36.

So is it a software that makes my devices have a small range of supported channel ?
