amazon showtime subscription not working on Apple TV

I signed up for Showtime via Amazon Prime. On my MacBook and iPad, I am able to watch Showtime movies via Amazon Prime. When I open the Amazon Prime app on Apple TV, it does not acknowledge my subscription and says I must rent or buy the Showtime movies. Super frustrating. When I try playing on my iPad and casting via AirPlay to the TV, I get audio with a black screen. How can I make the Amazon Prime app on Apple TV recognize my Showtime subscription?

Thanks for the help! The Apple TV is brand new, purchased last week. I tried casting it via AirPlay from my phone and that worked so I think I will just stick with that.
