File sharing High Sierra to Ventura?

Hi

I use a High Sierra Mini from 2010 as a server for backup and printing.

Since i upgraded my M1 MacPro to Ventura I cannot reach my files anymore. I see the Mini but it wount let me log in or share screen. ”incorrect user or password”…

As a printer server it still works fine.

In my cabin i have another older Snow Leopard Mini as a server and it works just fine for sharing.

Would it help to re-install High Sierra or what could I do?

MacBook Pro

Hello Svante S,

This article gives good information about connecting your Mac with other devices & servers: Connect your Mac to shared computers and servers - Apple Support.

If everything is set up as explained in that support article, this troubleshooting page may help figure out why things aren't working as expected: If your Mac can’t connect to another computer - Apple Support.

We hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist with anything else at all. Take care.
