Logic Pro X - input monitoring during playback -fix

Hi everybody,

I created this account to reply to an older post, but this wasn't possible anymore. If 'Quick punch in' and 'Input monitoring' are enabled, but still no input while playing (but present when playback stops) try increasing the I/O buffer size that fixed it for me in Logic 10.7.4.

Title says it all - I can hear input monitoring if nothing is playing - but, if I press the play button then the input monitor is shut off (even though the little "I" button is colored/on/engaged). If I record the input monitoring works as expected. If not playing back tracks input monitoring is on. But, input monitoring is off during playback. I just want to rehearse a bit before I record - can't hear anything because input monitoring is mysteriously shut off during playback.

Yeah, anyway, how do you keep input monitoring on during playback? (if that's possible)
