What happened to filter by author?

Use to be, now it seems to be gone. Well, I'm off to hunt my browser history. Nice. Unless someone can tell me where they hid it.

I just took this screenshot of Search using FireFox110.0.1 (latest) running under Mojave on a MacBook Pro:

It's there.

Please help us better help you by sharing what Apple device is having this issue and the OS version it is running.

Thanks

Found it! Click your "avatar" icon in the upper-right. You get a drop-down menu. On that menu, click "My Subscriptions", and you can get your own questions!

Now, after you do that, you can click Filter and you get even more!

Recent Activity

Following

Participated

Authored

Why this doesn't show up in other contexts is beyond me.

Wait! If you click Content or Discussion . . . sometimes you can choose the author. Looks like too much to document all the variations. I guess they don't use the KISS philosophy when coding.

The main secret is to click your avatar and click My Subscriptions on the drop-down menu.

FF 110.0.1

macOS 12.6.3

24" M1 four-port iMac bought 8/28/2022.

I have a Mojave startup disk for my old Mac. Next time I fire it up, I'll see if it works there.

BTW, I'm having lots of problems. I had trouble just opening the TM panel. It opened and disappeared. I tried to open it again and nothing. Did a Ctrl-down_arrow, and there it was. and other problems. I guess it's time for a Safe Boot! No, sir; I don't like it!

And other problems. Hopefully this Safe Boot will fix them. Have done a number of safe boots over the years. I think it fixed a problem only once. Well here goes!

Well, I have a few guesses:

Harmful 3rd-party app

Space Aliens

too many tabs open

too many external drives

A Firefox setting that says "No Author category on Apple Discussion Boards."

One I can't mention.

Not using Dark Mode.

Using the Increase Contrast mode (to counter the GUI's lower contrast on menus and the sidebar in Finder, which then darkens the flags and tags).
