Apple pencil 2 connected to ipad under another persons name

My missing Apple pencil 2 connected to my ipad under another persons name

I wrote her name down and changed my password. My iPad is reconnected to MY name but now I won’t be able to find my pencil location.

The big issue is security. Any ideas? Did she have access to my ipad data

Hello Distraught2021,

Someone else pairing your Apple Pencil with their device, would not allow them any access to your iPad or Apple ID data including your credit cards. If you feel like your Apple ID has been compromised, we encourage you to follow this link: If you think your Apple ID has been compromised

Cheers!

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities Distraught2021,

  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.
  2. On the same screen, find your Apple Pencil under My Devices. If you find it, tap Information icon. Then tap Forget this Device.

3: "Attach your Apple Pencil to the magnetic connector on the side of your iPad, like this:

Apple Pencil (2nd generation) attached to the magnetic connector on iPad"

Pair Apple Pencil with your iPad

While someone else pairing your Apple Pencil with their device, would not allow them any access to your iPad or Apple ID data, if you have concerns that your Apple ID is compromised, the following page provides guidance you can use to regain control of your account, and ensure you're the only one able to access it: If you think your Apple ID has been compromised

We hope this helps!

You missed the word “missing” pencil.

(assumed stolen) … as after they changed the pencils name while it was showing connected to my ipad, i no longer show the pencils data under info… in other words if they were able to change my ipad and pencils name, did they also have access to my credit card before i changed the password (which appears to have changed the ipads name back to me-but not the pencil - it is gone)
