Error #2003 is not explicitly listed by Apple. However, when your iPad is connected to a computer, similar errors are often attributed to a problem with the computer’s USB port, the connecting cable - or interference from Anti Virus or other Security software.
Try using a different cable, a different USB port - or, at your own risk, temporarily disabling your AV software.
