LOGITECH M590 Bluetooth mouse

I have a Logitech M590 Bluetooth mouse that always worked fine with my old 2017 MacBook. I have just bought a new MacBook Pro M1 14" and want to connect to this mouse. Bluetooth seems to find the mouse ok but won't connect. Anyone have a solution?

Connecting Logitech M240 mouse to M2 MacBook Air It used to work on my old Intel MacBook Pro with Monterey. On my new Air it won't appear as a device in Bluetooth settings. The "connection" led on the mouse is flashing. I've tried replacing the battery, turning the mouse and the computer on and off, and so on, to no avail.
