Taking screenshots during initial setup

Hi all. I am about to make a setup guide for our company phones. I need to have screenshots of the initial setup process, but can't figure out how to do it - the screenshot function does not seem to work before installation is finished. Is there any other way I can do this? Can I connect the Iphone to my Mac and view the screen on my computer screen (taking the shots from there) - and will this work during setup?

I'll appreciate any ideas (except taking photos of the screen, I need better quality). Thanks in advance!

This might be a longshot. I have not tested. But connect your iPhone to a monitor with an HDMI cable.

Some tv screens/monitors allow taking screenshots. How it is done and whether it can be done, and how to export the images from the screen, you have to let Google clarify. I also doubt whether the HDMI adapter will work before the setup is complete. But that's my best bet.

Normally you would be able to use QuickTime on the Mac to record your screen, but I don't think you're allowed to connect to a computer via data cable until the iPhone is set up.

But with the right lighting and camera, it is possible to take good pictures of the screen with another camera. At least so good that they could be included in a guide that people would be able to follow.
