Firefox not showing window

So I'm not sure if anyone here has had this problem before but this morning when I logged onto my Mac, I noticed that Firefox refuses to stay open. Specifically, the window wont stay open. It's almost like it minimizes itself but when I click on the icon in the dock, the window appears for only a second and then goes away. When I go into Mission Control, I see Firefox but it's blank (see screenshot).

I'm honestly stumped as I've never come across this before. I've tried the troubleshooting steps found here but I dont see xulstore.json in the specific library folder to delete.

I've restarted my Mac a half dozen times, uninstalled Firefox multiple times and nothing seems to work. I'm at a loss so I'm hoping someone can help me.

That looks like some Accessibility feature got turned on...

If you turned on Full Keyboard Access /enabled... See > Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard. Turn it OFF

You can trouble shoot further::

—Try A SafeBoot How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

This test will tell you if third party interference; most* extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

Wow...

I figured it out...

Apparently if you run the "Freedom" website blocker, it will block certain browsers from working. When I quit the freedom app, Firefox works perfectly.

Nothing to see here. Move along...

thanks for posting the resolve; informative for anyone researching your same issue.

Seems like a real spanner in the works ie a real monkey wrench app that I will avoid at all cost.
