iPhone bought in Japan and now I use it outside Japan. Can I disable the shutter sound if I am outside Japan?

I'm aware about the Japan laws when it comes to shutter camera sound on smart phones if bought in Japan. But now that I live outside Japan and I use the phone outside Japan, is there a workaround to disable it?
