Honda CR-V Apple Play connection issue.

I'm late to the game here but read the last thread and have the same issue as most. @bdupes, if you see this, I have the 2019 CR-V as well. I don't have an android to test but I went to FL to visit my mom and we used her Kia Sportage with Apple Play with my phone and didn't once have an issue. In my car it is constant. I've got Waze on and trying to follow directions and hit a bump and all goes down. Sometimes just hitting the cord with my arm knocks it off. I've tried everything that has been recommended. Tried apple cords directly purchased from the Apple store to cheap cords. Nothing works. I'm not convinced is Apple's updates getting to Honda. I think it's the Honda cars. No one else I know with cars by other makers are having this issue. My neighbor has same car as I, and same connection issues.

Has anyone heard of any updates?
