pdf printing error

Receiving repeated printing error on one class of pdfs from one organisation.

ERROR: undefined

OFFENDING COMMAND: fYX

(note the Y character above has double strikethrough)

Document displays correctly in Safari, Acrobat and Preview on a Macbook Air- but won't print to HP MFP. Macbook Air can print everything else fine. Can email doc to other macs which print to same printer without problem.

Appreciate that we have a workaround, however - bit annoying

Hello philkh57,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

Let's attempt to change the file type and see if you are able to print:

"You can export a PDF or image to save it as a different type of file.

  1. In the Preview app  on your Mac, open the file you want to export.
  2. Choose File > Export, then select a file type from the Format pop-up menu."

More details can be found here: Export PDFs and images in Preview on Mac

If the issue persists, can you provide a few more details? Does this only happen with files from a specific sender? When did you first notice this? Does this happen on other user accounts using the same Mac? Also, what is your exact macOS version?

Cheers!
