Notification settings for Microsoft Teams' chat is not mirroring on Apple Watch (Mute)

In Microsoft Teams, I have selected "Mute chat" for a chat, and it shows this setting in Teams on the iPhone. However, my Apple Watch Series 7 is still making a sound whenever there is activity in that chat on Teams, even though the associated Teams setting on the iPhone paired with the Apple Watch has it "muted". I do not want to mute all Teams notifications, just this chat that I marked as "mute". How do I get the Apple Watch to mirror the settings of the Teams app on the iPhone? Thank you
