Suddenly I cannot screen mirror my iMac to my Appletv hardware device. This happened after a reset. Did Apple do away with that function? I only see mirror from iPad/iphone to Appletv OR iMac screen in the support pages.

Thank you. Good to know Apple didn’t pull a switcheroo as they like to do. So the problem is in my appletv3. It doesn’t show up in the MacBook as an option to connect to. I’ve checked all settings and permissions. All I did was reset the appletv settings. So at a loss why it doesn’t show up now.
Next problem is that it won't let me connect to Apple ID. It says try later. It also will not let me connect to the secure network to has been using, it says the password is incorrect (-100), So I have connected to the xfinity network that doesn't need a password. It also will not let me restore to factory settings. It tries to download the update but there isn't one so it says try later. So basically I am stuck with a brick. I can connect my computer by HDMI, but that's about it for this relic.
If it's not on the same Wi-fi network, it won't work.
Why is it not letting you sign in with your Apple ID?
What happens when you try to connect to the network?
Have you tried power cycling the router?
I thought it was connected to the Xfinity network, but turns out it’s a captive net work, so no Internet. So I’ve connected it to Internet, and that seems to be working to restore it to factory settings.
Is it connected to the same network as the Mac? Wifi or ethernet?
Did you sign in with your Apple ID on it after resetting Settings?
