How to delete photos from Media Type Album

My iCloud is 100% completely empty. No files, photos, videos........EXCEPT when i open the media type album. There are a group of "hidden" photos.

It says, "To view hidden items, go to the Hidden Album." The issues is that these hidden photos cannot be seen in the hidden album. I can click delete but they never go away, and they are also able to be downloaded and viewed as normal.

I no longer need these photos and can't seem to get them off of my iCloud.

Hi wardmagnus24,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Are you unable to view the photos only or unable to locate the Hidden album as well? If the Hidden album has been disabled, the album and any photos within won't be visible. In that case, the guidance below, which is from Hide photos on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac - Apple Support, may help.

"Unhide photos on iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Photos and tap the Albums tab. On iPad, you might need to tap the sidebar icon in the upper-left corner first to see your albums.
  2. Scroll down and tap Hidden under Utilities.
  3. Use Face ID or Touch ID to unlock your Hidden album.
  4. Tap the photo or video that you want to unhide.
  5. Tap the More button  then tap Unhide.

Find the Hidden album

  1. Open the Photos app.
  2. Tap the Albums tab.
  3. Scroll down and look for the Hidden album under Utilities. On iPad, you might need to tap the sidebar icon in the upper-left corner first to see your albums.

To turn off the Hidden album:

  1. Go to Settings and tap Photos.
  2. Scroll down and turn off Hidden Album.

On an iPhone or iPad, the Hidden album is on and visible by default. When you turn off the Hidden album, any photos or videos that you've hidden won't be visible in the Photos app."

All the best.
