Does anyone know if I purchase a magnetic ring to stick on the back of my iPhone XR if the battery pack would stay connected? As of it was a phone that’s compatible (iphone12 and up)

I am a bit confused with the title of the post.
However, I often use a magnetic holder on OSMO Gimball to take videos through my iPhone 12 Pro and charge the iPhone battery simultaneously using a USB-C - lightning cable.
Here, let me say it a little differently I am trying to use the Apple extra battery pack with my iPhone XR. I was wondering if I purchased a metal magnetic sticker on Amazon..
Do you know if the battery pack would stay connected to the phone as if it was on an iPhone that is MagSafe from the factory. I’m just concerned that it won’t be as strong as if it was the newer iPhone. I was told that it may fall off easily because the iPhone XR isn’t MagSafe compatible. It is wirelessly charging compatible not MagSafe though, from what I was told. Any help is appreciated! Thanks
My guess is no, it will not stay connected, particularly since that is what you were told.
That’s what one would think right but the person who told me that was a Walmart employee, that’s why I’m unsure bcz how much does that employee know about the product
