Does Apple Security ever contact you online to say you have a virus invading your iPhone and a specific percent of your data has been destroyed? And, that you can get rid of the virus by clicking on some link?

It's a scam. A message warning of malware will only be legitimate if you manually started a scanner or uploaded a file to a website.
