Hello do both parties that are sharing calendar need to have an iCloud email? Or any Email works? Any response is greatly appreciated.

No, both do not need to have an iCloud Mail. But to share an iCloud Calendar, both must have an Apple ID.


An example. If I open and choose to share one of my iCloud Calendars, and send an invitation - then the person who receives the invitation must have an Apple ID to be able to participate in the calendar.
