How to prevent iPhone 13Pro from turning turning off when double-clicking (for facial recognition) to make wallet payment?

Set Auto-Lock to Never, before you use Apple Pay.

Try this:
Go to -> Settings -> Face ID & Passcode -> enter your Passcode -> Touch ID & Passcode.
In USE FACE ID FOR section, tap any of the following to turn On or Off
Select Wallet & Apple Pay -> turn it Off
Then you can set Auto-Lock to Never, before you use Apple Pay.
The problem is when double-clicking (pressing the iPhone’s on/off button rapidly twice for facial recognition), the 1st press turns the phone off. How can I disable facial recognition while using wallet for touchless payments.
