I don't want my iWatch to sync

I have an iPhone 12 Pro with latest updates. I just received an iWatch last month and synced it, but now I'm finding it's quite annoying. I usually have both on and with me and I don't need them to be working together. How do I UNsync? Is there any way? I've read through the previous conversations but they look old. Any updates?
