Just had message on iPhone 12 asking for phones passcodes to be able to keep using iCloud ? Is this legit or a scam to get access to my account

Yes , this message is a scam , don’t reply it , if you have a lost/ stolen iPhone, this message might sent to you from the person who stolen your device.
If you receive a suspicious email or SMS text message that looks like it's supposed to be from Apple, please email it to reportphishing@apple.com.
