"You're connection is not private" error when I try to access a Wordpress URL

Hello,

I bought a MacBook Pro 2 months ago (M1 Max - 32 Go) and for some reason, every time I want to access this URL: https://tsukey.146-59-231-34.plesk.page/ (URL that allows me to access my Wordpress admin), I get an error saying that my connection is not private. It seems that the wrong SSL certificate is selected.

I have the error on Chrome, Safari and Firefox (on normal browsing and on private browsing). However, if I use another Wifi or my phone (5g), I can access it.

My Mac runs on Venture 13.2 (22D49).

Does anybody have a solution for me? My internet provider has no clue why I have this issue at home but not if I use a public Wifi...

Thank you,

MacBook Pro (M1, 2020)

Hey there jsavary,

We stated it may be your network since you have no issues when trying another internet network or when using cellular/mobile data on your iPhone.

To confirm, after following that article, did you have a chance to forget the article and join it again? Forgetting the network and rejoining it again would make sure that any new changed settings would be in effect. If needed, below shows how to do that:

"Forget a network on Mac

Follow the appropriate steps, depending on which macOS you're using.

macOS Ventura or later

To forget the network that you're currently using:

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings.
  2. Click Wi-Fi in the sidebar.
  3. Click Details next to the network you're using.
  4. Click Forget This Network, then click Remove to confirm.

To forget a network that you've joined before but aren't currently using:

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings.
  2. Click Wi-Fi in the sidebar.
  3. Scroll down on the right and click Advanced to see the networks known to your Mac.
  4. Click the more button  next to the network, choose Remove From List, then click Remove to confirm.

Earlier versions of macOS

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences.
  2. Click Network.
  3. Click Wi-Fi in the sidebar.
  4. Click Advanced to see the networks known to your Mac.
  5. Select the network, then click the remove button (–) beneath the list. Click Remove to confirm.
  6. Click OK, then click Apply."

Those steps are from this article: How to forget a Wi-Fi network on iPhone, iPad, or Mac - Apple Support Please let us know how that goes or if you've already tried that.

Take care.

Hi jsavary,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

With the details provided, it seems that the issue is with your network. Use the guidance from the support article, Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support, to update your network settings to provide the most secure connection to work with your devices.

About privacy and security warnings on your device

If your Apple device shows a privacy warning or weak-security warning about a Wi-Fi network, that network could expose information about your device.
* If you administer the Wi-Fi network, we recommend that that you update the settings of your Wi-Fi router to meet or exceed the security standards in this article.
* If you don't administer the Wi-Fi network, you can bring the recommended settings in this article to the attention of the network administrator.

Regards.
