How can I avoid being hacked?
If you use Safari and if you have Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > Use Apple Pay When Available on and if the website supports Apple Pay, you can use Apple Pay online from your iPhone. On a Mac, the option is at Apple menu > System Preferences > Wallet & Apple Pay > Use Apple Pay When Available.
Note that there are a lot of websites that do not support Apple Pay.
