Apple TV remote charging problem

When I plug my apple tv remote in to charge using my computer USB a message appears on the screen "driver error unplug device" What's wrong??

  1. "Charge your remote for 30 minutes using a USB-C to USB or Lightning to USB cable and a USB wall charger.
  2. Unplug your Apple TV from the wall power outlet. Wait at least six seconds, then plug it back in.
