lost my password to phone

I have an iPhone 8 and forgot password I got to the recovery page on the phone but the little message on MacBook pop up for me to restore the iPhone 8\

Forgotten password got locked out then I remember again but can’t get in Hello I recently foundmy iPhone 8 and I forgot the password to it so I tried a couple different ones I know eventually it locked me out saying iPhone unavailable but I now remember the password. I have my phone in recovery mode connected to my computer but it's still asking for the password but I cannot place it into the phone because iPhone says unavailable.

Restoring iPhone with forgotten password and connectivity issues I’m trying to restore an iPhone and I can’t remember the password. When I click on the restore button on my laptop (using Microsoft) nothing happens. I’ve tried using ITunes but can’t see my phone appear. Should I be using an Apple cable?
