Keychain Access will not delete some items

I have a few application passwords (not website passwords - these are for an application that requires a sign-in) that I want to delete as the application is acting strangely.

In the past, I would select the items in Keychain Access and use the context menu to delete them. I can do that, but it has no effect even after restarting the computer.

These are items in the iCloud Keychain.

Hey there Remarksman,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

If you're looking to delete a keychain, you'll want to follow the steps below:

Delete a keychain
1. In the Keychain Access app  on your Mac, if your keychains aren’t visible, choose Window > Keychain Access.
2. Select a keychain in the Keychains list.
3. Choose File > Delete Keychain [keychain name].
4. Click Delete References.

If you're still unable to delete it, can you provide more details in a reply on what's happening and the exact steps you're taking?

Take care!
