My MacBook Pro crashed and will not turn on. How would I safely recycle it without giving the hard drive info to Apple?

Even if you reformat the drive, someone could read the data on it, so best way is opening bottom case and takeout the drive from your MacBook Pro and keep it yourself.

I think Apple accept without the drive MacBook Pro as Trade-In.
