Pages app won’t print from ipad

I am unable to print documents from the Pages App from my iPad. I have no problem printing other things off the same iPad to the same printer. I use a HP Envy 7900e. I just updated IPadOS 16.3.1. Any suggestions? Thank you.

iPad, iPadOS 16

Hello sheridan272,

Please review the following article to make sure the steps you are taking to print with Pages from your iPad are correct: Print a document or envelope in Pages on iPad - Apple Support. Follow these steps:

"These instructions assume that your printer is already set up to work with your device and turned on.

      1. Open the document, tap the document’s name in the toolbar, then tap Print.
      2. If no printer is selected, tap Select Printer, then choose one.
      3. Your device automatically searches for any nearby AirPrint printers.
      4. Choose print options (page range, number of copies, and so on).
      5. If the document has smart annotations, comments, or page backgrounds, you first see an option to include them in the printed document.
      6. Tap Print in the top-right corner."

If those are the steps you are taking, please also try taking the following steps which may help with this: restart your iPad, make sure it is up to date, close the Pages app, then reopen it and make sure all apps are updated.

We hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist with anything else at all. Take care.

I really believe it is the app itself. I cannot print to my printer from either my IPhone or my IPad. I can print to the printer from other apps or the internet. Just not the Pages app. I’m have to resort to copy and pasting into a google doc for everything I need, but I really don’t like google docs. Do you have any additional suggestions? Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question!
