Audible showing on lockscreen - why?

I found the solution. I was so frustrated with this as well for a week before I accidentally tapped the book cover and it minimized to how it used to be in the play controls!! You can tap it again inside the play controls and it will make it large again. Seems to hold your last selection so it won’t default back to the large album or book cover automatically. Hope this helps

not sure if you figured it out but if you tap the book or sing or whatever is showing on the kick screen, it minimizes it to normal.

This has become an issue of privacy. There are people (as mentioned in the replies) that are listening to personal self help books that they do not want advertised to everyone around them. I have this same issue with the music app displaying the album art but not as serious as the book issue, obviously.

I listen to Audible daily. This just started for me Today 5-2-23 with patch 16.4.1 (a).

So, there is no way for my phone NOT to have a picture of the cover of the Alcoholics Anonymous book I am listening to for everyone around me to see? They player controls are fine but the cover art takes up the whole screen. Why would this be something that cannot be turned off? I submitted the feedback form...

This will NOT remove the player, just those new cards like Uber Eats. The player image still shows largely (privacy issue)

We don’t want to minimize it, we want the image gone all together. I’d rather not have the player show at all if this can’t be done.

I searched all the forums and watched every youtube I could find. The patch defaulted all my books to full screen on the Lock Screen. In the end I had to reset my phone to be able to minimize the window.

Still frustrated that Apple violates our privacy by not letting us remove the widget from the Lock Screen.

We'll be glad to go over this with you. If it's playing in the background, there isn't a way to disable the view on the Lock Screen. With that said, you can submit feedback on this to Apple via: Product Feedback - Apple

Today was listening to Libby, Libby would show up as just a bar on the screen with the ability to pause, play, skip forward or back but my lock screen photo was always in the background. Now the book cover shows. I have tried to disable everything. Restarted phone. Very annoying I want it to change back please. iPhone 8+ 16.3.1 Does it on all audio apps now, here's a screenshot of a random podcast. Make it back to just that little rectangle where it shows the audio title, play/pause/skip forward or back.

Go to settings. Audible..then “live activities”, toggle it off/on and it should disappear.. Hope this helps

I am tired of Apple changing how my phone works all the time. I now also have my Audible book cover show on my locked screen and cannot figure out how to stop it. Hasn’t Apple heard of privacy. I may be listening to something I don’t want people to know about. And ditto the above comment. I already chose what I want to appear on my locked screen! Stop overwriting this with a function I cannot turn off!

Oh, and turn off the function to change wallpaper while screen is locked. My phone goes into this function while in my pocket, while lying on my desk, while picking it up . . . You put my life in danger because it went into this function when I pulled my phone out of my pocket to call 911 from my locked phone during an armed robbery but couldn’t because the change wallpaper settings opened up and I could not figure out how to close out of it to be able to call 911!!!!!!

The only way I have managed to get this to change is by opening another audio app and then it swaps that out ie: Spotify or Apple Music. It doesn’t solve the issue though it just displays what you were listening to in Apple Music etc instead. Still no solution

Please STOP making these changes mandatory. Give us a choice.
