Phone says no sim card

My phone was working fine, battery died I charged my phone when it came back on it said no SIM card detected. Took SIM card out put it in my buddys phone and it worked fine Put it back in my and nothing I’m currently out of the country for 3 more weeks and Verizon is not in the country I’m in I’ve done all updates and still nothing
