Troubleshooting a New Overheating iPhone:

So, who's the Seller?:

A. A Third-Party?

Is this a used device that was purchased secondhand? If so, request a return. The seller should have known better.

B. Apple?:

If you purchased it directly from Apple, then they may have sold you a faulty iPhone. You have 14 days to return it. So, take it back to Apple, and return it, or get it diagnosed for repair.

Apple Contact Info:

  • Contact Us - Choose Locations
  • Proceed from there, as necessary
  • Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through.
