iMovie 4K issues

Hi,

Reading lot's of posts I'm aware that if you add a 4k video or image as the first clip in the timeline on a new project the project and export options change to 4k. However this does not work for me. I have been able to export previous movies to 4k or rather to the Youtube compatible 4k option. Those have been fine. Done probably 20... but for some reason I am having issue with this one. This one does have far more titles, slow motion clips, music, etc, overall editing. No idea what the issue is. I think I have enough size available on my computer as well as its only a 15 min vid. Any thoughts?

Possibly an iMovie preference has gone awry. Try deleting preferences. To delete preferences open iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and select to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie usually will open in a new empty library. If so, reopen your old library to get back to your projects. Possibly you may need to reboot to set the changes. Deleting preferences is a safe procedure that will not cause data loss or disruption to your project.

Also, you can try creating a new project.
