HI Bob593251,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with moving a copy of a photo from Photos to a folder on your Mac. We'd like to help.

Just to confirm, are you using the Photos app on your Mac or are you viewing your photos from the iCloud website? Are you trying to add this photo to a folder on your Mac or to a document that is currently open on your Mac? We ask because you may be able to add the photo by copying and pasting it directly from the Photos app to the document/folder. They may help - Copy and paste between devices from your Mac

Check that out and let us know if that helps. If you need additional assistance, tell us more about what you're trying to do and we'll continue to help.

Cheers!
