Won’t let me use my Apple ID for App Store

It sounds like you're seeing an alert when attempting to use your Apple ID. If so, for help with the issue check out the information below found in the article here: If your Apple ID is locked or disabled - Apple Support


"If your account has been disabled for security reasons


If you see one of the following messages, your Apple ID automatically locked to protect your security and you can't sign in to any Apple services:

  • “This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons”
  • "You can't sign in because your account was disabled for security reasons"
  • "This Apple ID has been locked for security reasons"


You need to reset your password to regain access. Learn how to reset your password. "


If you're seeing the alert 'Your account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes' you'll need to reach out to Apple Support directly to report the issue.


However, if this is a billing issue check out and complete the steps here: If your payment method is declined in the App Store or iTunes Store


If you still have trouble, reach out to Apple Support to further assist.
