Apps for intel macbook

What is this stupidity now when I try to download an app and I get “Requires macOS 11.0 or later and a Mac with Apple M1 chip or later”?

You do realize our intel MacBook pros can handle these apps, correct?

the M1 chip has a different structure (ARM) so apps for the M1 chip cannot run on Intel, and apps for Intel can only run on M1 when making use of Rosetta.

Most of the times there is an intel version for the specific app you want to run available, also for macOS 11 and up.
